The nursery day at Rosemount begins with a warm welcome, where children can dive straight into a variety of engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors.
Activities are carefully designed to support learning across all areas of development, through play.
Our team guides children’s learning, allowing them to take the lead and explore their interests as they emerge, fostering a love of discovery and growth "in the moment."
Guided Learning Sessions
While we encourage child-led exploration, we also offer a variety of adult-guided activities to enhance their learning experience. These include:
Breakfast and Circle Time
Breakfast is available until 09:30, where children are encouraged to self-serve and take responsibility by clearing away their own dishes and utensils. After breakfast, our Circle Time sessions provide a playful and engaging environment for children to discuss their emotions, share experiences, play games, and learn new songs.
Supervised Tooth Brushing Club
At Rosemount, we prioritize health and hygiene from an early age. Our Supervised Tooth Brushing Club teaches children the importance of oral health. Through fun songs and rhymes, they learn to brush their teeth independently, fostering good habits that will last a lifetime.
Lunch Time at Rosemount
Lunch time at Rosemount is more than just a meal — it's an enjoyable and social experience! Children sit together in small groups, self-serving their meals with the gentle support of our staff when needed. As they dine, they enjoy the soothing sounds of Jazz or Classical music, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
A Social Experience
During lunch, children are encouraged to discuss their food choices and engage in meaningful conversations with their friends and teachers. Fresh fruit is typically offered after lunch, and each table is stocked with milk or water, allowing children to make healthy hydration choices.
Our Commitment to Quality
We take pride in offering hot, freshly prepared meals made on-site each day. As a vegetarian nursery, we ensure that all eggs are free-range and milk is organic, reflecting our commitment to high-quality, ethical food choices.
We also understand the importance of catering to individual dietary needs. Whether your child has food allergies or intolerances, we take every precaution to ensure that all meals are safe and suitable for every child.
At Rosemount, we understand the importance of rest in a child’s day. Our designated quiet room provides a calm and comfortable environment where children can sleep or rest as needed.
Children are supervised at all times and are checked regularly to ensure they are safe and comfortable while they sleep. We also collaborate closely with parents to accommodate their preferences regarding the length of their child’s rest time, ensuring each child’s needs are met.
For children who do not wish to sleep after lunch, we offer a variety of relaxing activities designed to nurture both body and mind. These include:
These activities provide a peaceful and enriching experience, allowing children to unwind and recharge in a calm environment.
During the afternoon, our children enjoy a blend of free play and adult-guided activities in our supportive learning environment. These sessions take place both indoors and outdoors, providing a variety of settings in which children can continue to explore and learn. This balanced approach ensures that every child can engage in activities that spark their curiosity and enhance their development, while also benefiting from structured learning opportunities that further their skills.
